The western Azuero coastline also know as the Azuero Sunset Coast in Panama’s Veraguas province is one of Panama’s most beautiful coastal areas, one hour south of the city of Santiago. The landscape is far more dramatic, than the much more developed eastern side of the Azuero peninsula. Lush mountains descent to scenic beaches, most of them deserted. Plenty of wildlife inhabits the area. The land is sparsely populated, and most locals are involved with cattle ranching or agriculture. An asphalt road was completed some time ago, and slowly travelers are discovering the hidden treasures of the Azuero Sunset Coast. Pristine beaches, rivers, waterfalls & mountains greet the visitor.
